Hello!
I logged onto blogger today to find that I have so many blog posts to catch up on. Days have been dragging on, but nights just seem to fly by. I found a life for a little while, but now spring break is over and I'm back with my official first Spring outfit. It's a little weird going to my night classes when it's still light out, but I love driving to home/school when the sun is setting. It makes rush hour traffic that much more bearable don't ya think?

As you can see my shopping ban has failed. This top is new, and I spent a little when Forever 21 had their 100% for Japan shindig (but in my defense half of that was for my brother and it was for a good cause). I don't have much guilt though, because I know everything I bought recently are things I love and will wear a lot in these warmer months. I'm really trying to be smarter about what I buy because I know shopping bans don't stick for very long. My appetite for Spring clothing has become so insatiable lately. I don't look at stripes anymore, instead I'm drawn towards cute prints (like this sailboat/anchor printed top), florals, lace, and pastel things. Don't worry, I'm not over stripes--I think I finally realized just how much of it I actually have and I need to fill the holes in my closet. My mission this Spring/Summer is to find the perfect chambray blouse. I want all this rain to go away so we can all be girly and frolic in open fields (virtually) together.

I have to get started on my project that's due tonight (procrastination at its finest). I hope you all are enjoying this first week of Spring!

Until next post,
Jasmine

  1. You look so so cute in the sail boat blouse. Great find!! And I think all is forgiven for cheating on the shopping ban. I tried to shop for the cause but I didn't have a need for more stuff. I did send a donation over to Japan though. Anyhow, good luck with your school project!!

  2. Jasmine! I've been looking for a perfect chambray blouse too! I'm trying to make myself stick to a shopping ban, too. But it's so hard when Forever21 has their 100% proceeds sale for a good cause and sweaters on Urban Outfitters keep going on sale! Hmph!!!

I DO love this top. It's adorable:)

  3. I really love your belt and shoes! And of course, the top is really cute.

Okay, this might sound really odd but if this is where I think it is, then the dollar theater is across the street? Well, when the weather gets back to warm, you should try out the shaved ice at "Sticky Fingers"! IT IS AMAZING! It's really close to Matsumoto's in Hawaii. :) Sorry for the randomness, I just think it's the best thing since sliced bread and have been telling everyone I know in Irvine to go. And the lake always makes me crave it! :D

Anyway, very awesome outfit as always. :)

  5. This is the cutest outfit! You're still sticking to the nautical theme without the stripes. Patterns are so big this year and I'm wondering if I can get away with any of it, myself.

  6. Ahh I am so jealous of your sunshine Jasmine! Your sailor top is so cute and so you. I love it!
I know what you mean about spring clothing; I have been thrifting nothing but spring dresses and cute sandals. Too bad I'm not going to be able to wear those anytime soon! I'm just trying to make myself enjoy the snow now because I'm sure I'll miss it when it's gone.
    Good luck on your project!

  8. Jasmine, your new top is just adorable, just like you. :) It's great to know that you're looking at adding other things to your wardrobe. Florals and lace are my fav. :D Can't wait to see the pieces you add this coming season.

    Hope you're well sweetie.

  10. I think this is the perfect Jasmine outfit! Little belted skirt, cute nautical top, bows everywhere! I really love it. I saw that Forever 21 had that shopping for Japan deal... but I need to get a job before I can do anything for Japan!

  11. I really love that belt! It's so unique with the wooden pegs ( I love belts-I have way too many.Whenever Caroline and I go thrifting, I ALWAYS want to buy a belt but she finds a way to talk me out of it haha)

Anyway, really cute outfit and awesome backgrounds in the photos!

  12. I so love your top! I also broke my shopping ban yesterday too, though it was in a charity shop. It doesn't help having one within a 3min walking distance of my house :|

  13. Girl, how about you virtually hop on over to Austin and we can romp in the fields together? I don't think rain is going to be in the forecast here for a longggg time!

I love the sailboats! It's still your style, just a little different. Plus, it always feels so good to me to fill in a hole in my wardrobe!
