Hello!
We've been having pretty crazy June Gloom lately. It's been really hard to wake up and I was running late to work all of last week. Come back Mr. Sun now that I'm done with one of my exams. Thank you all for the well-wishes! I hope I passed. I couldn't have been luckier that one of the essay questions was on fashion and its potential to change society. The other sections weren't too bad either. I find out my score in a few weeks. Ugh, I hate waiting for scores. One exam down, one more to go. The next one is going to be even more grueling. I seriously cannot wait until July 10th. I am taking a long vacation after this is all over!

I quite liked this outfit of mine. With June Gloom lasting until midafternoon, I never really know what to wear and I'm still in a style rut, so I asked Robert to randomly choose a skirt and I just styled around it. My cure for a style rut is to either do a 30 for 30 challenge or go shopping. I chose the latter over the weekend. I went hunting for a bright striped shirt and came home with one and also with a bunch of cute things that I didn't really need. A sign in one of the stores said "If it makes you happy, buy it." I certainly followed that motto this past weekend.

Until next post,
Jasmine

  1. Hello there Jasmine! I found your blog via Emily of The Daily Fashionista and you are just beyond adorable! I love your girly, style and abundance of polka dots all things cutsey :D

I truly hope you do well on your exams! I know how frustrating it is to have to wait on getting scores... I just took the ACT on Saturday and have to wait two weeks to get results. Ugh!

  2. Ugh, I understand your struggle with the exam waiting time. It's brutal to say the least. Regardless, I'm sure you aced it and did your very best :)! Take the next exam in stride, I find stressing over the fact that you KNOW it'll be hard doesn't help, instead, treat it like it's any other painful exam and do what you normally would do. Not that you really need any tips anyway, you've been at the school thing way longer than I have.

I quite like this outfit with the polka dots, different shades of blue, and OH MY GOSH the lace top. So adorable as always. I love the detail shot with the lace <3 Macro ftw!

I think we can both agree that shopping certainly does cure some gloom in our lives. I was considering participating in the 30for 30, then I realized that I probably couldn't do it and gave up. Maybe next round we should both participate? :) <3

  7. I'm sure you got an awesome score! It's all about confidence and knowing your stuff...and you got that down! And I love this outfit so much!! It's probably one of your best!

And I typically follow that little motto myself. It's terrible, but sometimes shopping therapy is a beautiful thing;)

  9. Oooh I like that motto! But if I follow it all the time I would probably end up broke..and my house filled with sh*t I don't need. Hahaha.

I love the skirt that Robert picked for you Jasmine! The shape is so pretty. And polka dots can always brighten your mood, don't you think? (:

  10. Hey! I just discovered your blog via Emily from The Daily Fashionista, I was scrolling down the page and suddenly I saw your beautiful, dreamy photos. L-O-V-E. And your blog is just as perfect as these photos, it's been a while since I last found a blog that is totally... what to call it?... me. I'm crossing my fingers for you until you finished all your exams! Good luck with all of it, I'm sure you will do fine!

    Love, Lisa

p.s. Did I mention that your lace shirt is absolutely adorable? And that motto is so true, I once visited this shop that had this sign on the wall that said 'Buy it now or regret it later'. So commercial but also so true.
