Over a little month ago, I had this major itch to send out snail mail and for some new music. Who better to do this with than some of my favorite blogger friends? Well a month later, Musical Accessories is finally in motion. Between the six of us (Tieka, Jen, Amanda, Kate, Emily, and I), we're exchanging letters, CDs, and because we're all fashion bloggers, I threw in the idea of also swapping accessories for us to style on our blogs. Jen just styled my beloved yellow bow belt here, while over here on the opposite end of the country, I received Tieka's crochet scarf.
I'm not gonna lie: I absolutely loved it on Tieka when she wore it last Spring in this post, but when I got it in the mail, I was stumped on how to style it. You can't wear something of Tieka's and not wear florals so that's the route I went. I'm not much of a scarf person and being here in California, I don't really have to be one. Florals have taken over my mind lately. I have even been forsaking my bows and wanting to wear flowers in my hair. Since I couldn't find a floral headband to my liking, I decided to make one of my own. I just took an old headband and some flowers from a craft store, and tada a new headpiece and for only $2! I'm seriously hooked and want to make so many more. Other floral things I'm craving are more floral skirts and floral shorts. I found both yesterday at Buffalo Exchange (which is where these photos were taken) for $13 together. I'm getting good at this thrifting thing.
This scarf and Tieka's CD are getting passed along to Emily next!
PS. Yes, it did hurt a bit while sitting on the mosaic wall--anything to get a decent photo eh?
Until next post,
