Hello!
Happy New Year! I hope the start of 2011 is going well for you all. I ended up spending New Year's Eve in my pajamas with my best friend sipping on delicious Moscato wine, munching on popcorn, and watching chick flicks. I then spent the second day of the new year shopping and successfully resisting all things striped. Today was the first day back at work after five glorious days off. It was hard, but that's to be expected when I'm sick; the kids are to be inside all day; and it was their first day back at school.

I didn't think I'd get in any outfit photos today since it was raining, but as soon as the rain let up a bit, I hustled Robert into taking a few shots for me right outside my house before we left for lunch. With all the rain lately, this has become my rainy day default outfit: dress, pullover sweater, tights, old shoes, trench, and a bow. It's comfy and cozy, which is all I could ask for on a rainy day. As much as I love rain, I'm so sick of it. I think I (used to) love it so much because it was so rare here in California, but I'm just over it now. I'm so ready for Spring already.

Until next post,
Jasmine

  1. I love how, even with this "utilitarian" look, you still managed to get all girly-girl and...YOU! This is a great rainiy day outfit. I want to copy! Haha. But aww, I always feel sad when I hear about people getting sick of the rain. I just love it! <3

  2. Jasmine, I think this is my favorite outfit from you! I love the neutral tones and it's a change from the more vibrant/flower-y outfits from you :)

Such a long way we've come since, what, two years ago in hum core? Hahaha. Maybe if we're free from our busy schedules, our bfs can meet and we can catch a movie or something haha.

    Hope you're doing well Jasmine!

  3. You have no idea how much I'm in love with this color palette! I'm loving your pullover sweater and dress combinations. And it's sad that your Topshop shoes have become old shoes. I remember when they were brand new shoes! :(

But anyway, yay for staying lovely in the rain. Rain is nice from time to time but once there's too much of it, all you want is for the sun to shine. Your NYE sounds fabulous :D <3

  6. I love your outfit Jasmine! Seriously, I know it's a bummer that it's dreary and rainy, but you look so cute. The color palette is my favorite.

Have a good day back at work! Don't let those kiddos wear you out too much!
