The Ghost of a Good Thing

Hello!
Back to my old photo spot. Even though the heat has cooled down a bit, I didn't feel like searching for a photo location on my own. Besides, it's good to go back to your roots once in a while. I didn't do too much today. I painted a portion of each room with the paint samples we got, resulting in my legs looking like a Jackson Pollack painting and then my dad insisting that I use paint thinner directly on my legs to get the paint off before stepping back into the house. It stung a bit, but it made my legs incredibly smooth so I don't mind the subtle smell of petroleum.

I said in a few posts ago that I've been craving florals and I haven't been able to find any! I want dresses just as easy to throw on as this but in 5 other colors! I guess stores are getting ready for Fall. This is problematic because there really are no seasons to my outfits. During Fall and Winter, I just add tights, beanies, and a jacket; and during Spring and Summer, I take off the tights and throw on cardigans. I'm not really a F/W person, but I think this year I will try to be one. What's life if you're only enjoying half of every year?

Until next post,
Jasmine

  3. So lovely! I adore that floral dress especially with the bow belt! Haha I never heard that one before: putting paint thinner on your legs. Fall and winter can be really fun in terms of fashion! Actually they're my favorite seasons :) Time for lots of fun boots and chunky knits and hats! I'm sure there are lots of fall florals out there!

  4. You make me so jealous of that belt Jasmine!

You put paint thinner on your bare skin, ahh that is so not good for you, my painting teacher would have a fit. Next time use hot soapy water, its harder but its better for you.

  6. Love the dress Jasmine. I have it in the blue/black version and have worn it to death. LOL. It's just an easy piece to put on and go. I swear it going to fall apart too, but I guess you can't expect too much for a $12 dress from F21. I still love it though.

You are adorable as always. Hope you are well. How are your classes going?

  7. Lovely dress, Jasmine! I've been struggling to find my quota of florals as well recently, maybe they're going out of fashion but I hope not. Luckily I have a good old stock of floral dresses in my wardrobe to remix until florals come back. I feel my style is the same as yours in the non seasonal way. I add layers of chunky wool etc in winter and then no tights and sandals in summer. It can make it difficult to shop though, right?

  8. This dress is so adorable! It looks great on you! :)
I can totally relate to just wanting some really simple, throw them on and go dresses as well, but since all of the stores are stocking fall clothes it's been difficult!

  14. That dress is so cute, and I too definitely want florals through fall!

While I do pack away heavy sweaters for summer and super summery pieces for winter, a lot of my wardrobe caries through all the seasons.

I might hate the packing/unpacking of my wardrobe twice a year, I do like rediscovering old things like new again each time!
