Hello!
California is experiencing a crazy heat wave this week (like 100+ degrees! Ah!). When it is that hot outside, I want to wear as little as I could get away with. I haven't worn this dress since Thanksgiving, and the last few times I've worn this dress, I had to wear a cardigan over because I hate showing off my arms. Since it's too hot to wear a cardigan, I decided to just layer it over a lace top. I really ended up liking this outfit even though Robert said it made me look like a "cartoon character." Thanks for all your encouraging comments on my last post! You all are so incredibly sweet and are definitely the reasons that I do continue blogging! I've been slowly putting myself back on track this week--less junk food, more fruit, and more exercise.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Until next post,

I wish it was warm enough to go nearly sleeveless here! We're totally into hats and coats weather :( I'm glad to hear you are feeling more positive though, I've totally loved reading and seeing your journey, the fact you have bad days just makes you human, and will make it all the more impressive when you reach your goals. Have an awesome weekend xo
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute! I love how you layered that lacy top with that adorable striped dress. Sorry it's so warm in California! Here's hoping you get some fall weather soon :)
ReplyDeletelove the way you put this outfit together! it looks great! (so NOT cartoon-character-ish. take THAT robert!)eating well and getting some sunshine always helps cure me of a case of the "uglies." :) glad you're feeling better, pretty girl! xo
ReplyDeleteYikes!! 100 degrees in the fall? No bueno!! You look mighty cute though for the hot weather.
ReplyDeleteAnd I read your last post you did. I'm glad you are looking at things through a new perspective. It really does make a world of difference in the grand scheme of things. Although we all tend to feel insecure at times. And also jealous.
UUHHHH let's swap places can we? It's been single digit lows and barely reaching 15 degrees (celsius) here in Vancouver!
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, you look so adorable, continue that healthy lifestyle! YOU CAN DO IT! STAY STRONG!
P.S. Manage to get your hands on the sweater despite the not so sweater friendly weather? ;)
Cute dress

100+ degrees? I can't leave the house without wearing a jacket or tights (or both!) Love how you layered the dress on top of the lilac top. The color combination and different textures work well together! :)

ReplyDeleteJasmine, this outfit is perfect and cute! It's nice to see you dressing for a heatwave when it's so chilly here, gives me some sunshine in my life. I'm going to send your clothes back soon by the way, just got one more item to style before I can package it back up with some kit kats inside :)
ReplyDeleteJasmine! It's Resa from chictopia, hope you still remember me considering we both abandoned our chicblogs. Lol. I'm so happy to see you're still blogging here though! Looove your outfit and the subtle mix of prints. The lace top is just perfect underneath too and keeps you comfortable in your 100+ degree weather! Take care Jazzy! I will be passing by once in a while to check up on you :P XOXOX
ReplyDeletewait a minute...100 degree heat wave? Your legs are still bare? I'm currently wearing three layers, tights, and boots. It's also raining outside which is making it very hard for me to take outfit photos. So jealous! I love that dress with the hasbeens though <3
