Hello!
So this is my first official outfit of Summer, and I am officially unemployed too. I've been bumming around in plain white tees and feeling inadequate, but I'm done with that. It's amazing what a nice outfit can do for your mood. It feels nice not to have rush to get ready in the mornings. I can take my time and I don't have to worry about kids getting my clothes dirty (though I'm already missing my class dearly). Is it ironic that I spent my first day of unemployment yesterday shopping? As a parting gift, my boss gave me a $50 gift card to H&M so I guess it's not so ironic. I used part of the gift card to buy this top. How perfect is it? Robert challenged me to make at least 20 outfits with it, so here's #1. It was kinda sad walking around and having to stop myself from buying things at places like UO and even F21. I just keep telling myself that I have plenty of cute clothes at home. I even have some unworn items to show you all. I couldn't resist these sandals though. There goes $10 of my $100 Summer budget. I remember my mom had a similar black pair of these when I was a kid, and they're super comfortable! I've been going a little sandal happy lately huh? I think these are the last pair though. They have to be.

  3. I love this look! It is imensely cute.
I have some sandals like yours, though they're very unconfortable and pink, two reasons I don't wear them hehe. Yours are much more awesome though.

  4. Pretty outfit!!! Is it weird we had a similar theme going on in our outfit posts today? I said the same thing about an outfit that puts you in a good mood. I must've been channeling you;)

When/If we can get to NYC and see each other we need to go shopping together!! I can hardly wait!

  6. At first I thought your top had a dog bone pattern, then I realized they were bows! Face palm. Lol. Well, it's such a cutie - and a great way to spend part of your gift card! (I wish all bosses gave such awesome "parting gifts" hehe)

As for the sandals, they are totally worth it! They have such an old school Birkenstock vibe to them. Love! Ahh I wish there was a Cotton On here so I don't have to go all the way to Hong Kong for cute stuff like yours!

  7. This is such an adorable outfit Jasmine! I love the skirt, and those sandals are so cute - definitely worth it :)
I admire your ability to walk by stores like UO and not buy a ton of stuff! I bought a few shirts the other day and told myself that I wasn't going to buy anything else, but today I bought a dress at the thrift store. Whoops!

  11. I adore the mixing and matching with the patterns! The belt definitely ties all aspects together, and oh my god those sandals are cute. I keep on telling myself to stop buying shoes, but since I'm leaving for Seattle, that's going down. ;)

I'm really sorry about your job loss... it is tough, but it just means that there is an even greater something right around the corner! My job has kind of been in limbo for the past month or so, and I have a feeling it's not going to last much longer, but maybe this will lead to some great adventure, you know? :)
