Hello!
So the rain has finally stopped here and I couldn't be happier! I'm so glad I found something camel before the end of Winter. I was looking for a camel cardigan, but a sweater pullover--with elbow pads--is so much better right? I can't wait to layer this over a dress. If you follow me on Twitter, you'd know that this is my second turtle belt. I lost the first one within 24 hours of buying it and since this was the last one in my size in the store, I had to order it online. I'm kinda paranoid about wearing this out now. I'm always touching it to make sure it's still there on my waist. Nevertheless, despite all the drama, this has become my favorite belt. I even named the turtle Yoshi.

I'm sorta all over the place right now. I think I'm just overwhelmed with this "New Year feeling." You know the one that makes you feel slightly invincible and super hopeful that everything is going to be so great this year. The one that makes you start a lot of projects that you'll probably abandon in a few weeks. There are just so many things I want to do but I just don't know which one to start. I don't want this year to be filled with unfinished projects and disappointments. I think I'm going to start by cleansing my room. So much junk has accumulated over the past few years. It's making me a little crazy. That will be my first priority this weekend. I find that my room tends to reflect my mind, so once I clean it, I think I'll know which direction to head.

Until next post,
Jasmine

  4. How did you manage to lose a belt from around your waist? Madness! Love this outfit too, I'm a sucker for elbow pads on anything so adding camel just makes me head over heels

  5. um...turtle belt? AMAZING? YES.
I hope you don't lose this one because that'd be way too sad. and I kind of know what you mean with the "New Year feeling". I have so many wishes and hopes for 2011 and I just feel like I'm overachieving and that by the end of January I'll be pooped and it'll just be a huge disappointment. Just gotta stay positive and keep those fingers crossed :)

  7. I have this skirt tooooo! But I haven't known how to style it (it's been a challenge for me!). I love how you styled it, though. I would have never thought to match brown and red! Ingenious! The turtle belt is extraordinary:)

  8. Oh Yoshi is so darling. You're slowly becoming a "belt person", eh? Haha. (:

I need to clean my room too! Every time I look around it I cringe a little, but I can never seem to get around to cleaning up the junk! Ahh. Must. Focus.

  9. Oh that is the cutest belt I have ever seen. And I really like that sweater too. I've always wanted a camel sweater but sadly, I've never found one.

And don't be too overwhelmed with the new year feeling. You have the whole year ahead of you! Take your time accomplishing your goals.

  11. I've been overwhelmed with that new year feeling too...but I swear I'll keep it this year! Or, ya know, until school starts and I get completely burnt out. But I've already sewn two skirts this year, so I'm on a roll right now!

Uh, so jealous of your sweater. I went to Zara looking for one just like it the other day but no luck.
