Someone Somewhere

Hello!
I am back with my first outfit for Spring! Spring is my favorite season because I adore flowers, and yet I find it one of the hardest seasons to dress for. During Fall and Winter, you can hide behind layers and tights, but Spring is that awkward transition where you shed your layers before you dress for comfort in Summer's heat.

This is the striped top I lived in all of last week! I'm not joking. I bought it on Monday, wore one on Tuesday, the other on Wednesday; did laundry on Wednesday; wore one on Thursday, and the other on Friday. I also have it in black since it came in a two-pack! I really considered getting other colors, but blue and black are so versatile! I'm still on the hunt for the perfect red striped top though!

So shopping this week so far has been successful! I finally found a floral skirt! I've been looking for one since last summer! I found it at Zara for only $15! I'm seriously debating whether I should get the other color it comes in... :) I also bought a dress from Zara that I'll debut when it gets hotter! I went a bit ring crazy this break and have bought three! I stupidly left my favorite one at Robert's place on Saturday...and have been without it this whole week.

My hair is becoming awkward...I don't know whether I want to cut it again or grow it out! As much as I loved my bob hair, I have had the same hair for years now and would love a change. I tried the straight-bangs, but they just got annoying...I think going back to longer hair may be just what I need. I am impatient though and always end up chopping it back to a short bob! We will see...

I cannot believe Spring Break is pretty much over since I have work over the weekend! Why is it always just one week?! I'm not quite sure I have found that "thing" I was looking for this break, but I don't have the time or the money to stray too far from my signature look so I'll just work with what I have! I'm kind of thankful to have tomorrow to myself. I hope I'm able to get out and take some photos!

Until next post,
Jasmine

  1. first of all, i just have to say the two up-close shots of your ring are gorgeous, especially the one with the daisies! fake flowers vs. real flowers, haha.
and yay for the stripes and floral combination. i love that floral skirt to death (i say get it in the other color too!!). and grow out your hair! chopping off your hair is easy (and i'm still jealous you can pull off such short hair) but growing your hair out takes patience. i'm always scared to cut my hair short since if i wanted to grow it out i'd have to suffer through that awkward stage you're talking about where it's "medium" length. :P

  3. I know EXACTLY what you mean by the awkward hair length. Just at your shoulders and just kinks out awkwardly when you sleep and such. Greaaaat! ;) Love the mixing of patterns and I NEARLY GOT THE EXACT SAME SKIRT BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT IN XS SO I WAS TRAUMATIZED. We could've been skirt buddies!! AND THOSE OXFORD FLATS ARE SO SO ADORABLE <3 I'm so glad you redeemed them :) I almost got that 2 pack of tshirts as well... I swear we're destined to be.. hehe! That ring is GORGEOUS and the close-up with of your ring and the daisies is just too adorable for me to handle. xo

  7. Can I just say how much I ADORE this outfit? That striped top is lovely, especially with your new wonderful skirt! I love all the colors! You really should go back and get the other colors! I've been looking for a red and white striped top too :) Your shoes are lovely too! Yay for spring! Aww I'm sorry your break is over :( Don't worry, it takes patience to find the perfect "thing" to wear, just save up your money and you'll find it one day (well, technically there can be more than one thing but save up your money anyway!). Haha oh the hair dilemma! I'm going through one too, but I think I might cut my hair anyways since I can't see again through my bangs. You can always curl it or style it for a quick change! I like how you braided your hair though!

  14. I love your oxfords. I am going to save up once I'm employed and take a shopping trip to America. Then I am going to buy like six pairs of oxfords. They're the best. I also love how the blue in your shirt brings out the blue flowers in your skirt. So pretty Jasmine! If I come up with any hair inspiration for you, I will share.

  26. Hey, I saw this skirt at Zara and didn't resist to try it (but didn't buy, cause I try to spend less at the moment :P) And when I saw you wearing it I said to myself: "Yey, finally I am starting to understand something about fashion". Thank you for inspiring me! And finally, I decided to have a chictopia account. Can I add you as my friend? I am "theotherme".
