Ordinary Days

Hello!
I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite outfits ever. I felt so good in it all day long, and I haven't felt like that in a long while. This is a rare instance when planning an outfit the night before actually worked out successfully the day after. I was actually about to sell this skirt in my blog shop but since I'm on a shopping ban right now, I thought it'd just be best to work with what I have. I think I hesitated to wear this skirt when I got it during the summer because it's not the usual colorful, Spring/Summer florals. It does fit nicely in Autumn and Winter though! I just wish it would feel like Autumn here in Southern California. Today was 90-degrees and it'll be like this for the rest of the week too. I want to wear beanies, scarves, and my chunky knit cardigans! What's the point of finally finding some chunky knit cardigans if I can't wear them?

Have you heard? Kendi's doing another 30 for 30 challenge beginning Monday. I'm really considering joining! I'm already on a shopping ban so might as well make it last longer by doing a challenge! Let me know if you're joining! I don't know if I'll be doing the full 30 for 30 quite yet since my birthday will be during the challenge, so I just might do another modified version of it. I think last time's challenge was successful in teaching me the value of my clothes, but I'm starting to revert back to my old habits of shopping excessively.

My life is finally falling into a routine; albeit it's a hectic routine, but at least there's a comforting stability to the chaos.

Until next post,
Jasmine

  3. Haha yeah the weather here has been random too. I hope it cools down a little (not too cold hopefully)! Your outfit is lovely, I know that feeling about wearing an outfit you really like that makes you feel great! That skirt is cute too, I really like the calico print! If you do a 30 for 30 challenge, good luck!

  4. Ah this is too adorable, I love the tiny floral print :) This outfit is so you! I'm actually contemplating taking place in the 30 for 30, it'll be interesting to see how it works out. I'll probably modify it more to my taste though... We'll see!

  6. This is one of my favourites of yours too. Love the red cardigan, they are a lifesaver for bringing colour to an outfit, aren't they? I love the print on the skirt too. I'd love to do 30 for 30 but I'm so unorganised.

  7. You truly look excited in your outfit. It's great when articles of clothing can make you feel so good:) If you do the challenge, good luck!! I wasn't able to post all 30 of my outfits from last time, but I did do it, and it was a lot of fun trying to be creative. I may do it again, but I need a few more cold weather staples in my wardrobe!

  21. Gosh, that skirt is ADORABLE! Love it with the little bow :)

I'm on a shopping ban, too, since I just got an expensive ticket. I'm just not sure I want to do a remix challenge... I think it'd be fun to do if I weren't so busy, but feeling restricted really doesn't inspire me at all. I think I'd just end up with all 30 pieces strewn on my floor, sitting in my underwear on my couch moping with two minutes until class starts... yikes.

I love your blog! I'm so glad Amanda selected you for a guest post :) Following on Bloglovin!

  23. Temperamental weather? tell me about it! It was so cold over the weekend, now it's nice and sunny. I can't decide what to wear without checking the weather forecast. Oh how my life depends on it :p

This has got to be one of my favorite looks from you, too. It's fresh like the summer but warm like the fall :) And I love the touch of the leather belt!
